Half Baked Goodies

Originally posted: 06th September 2010

This is a super late post but anyway while I was away from the blogosphere I still try to be crafty every now and then.

So I have been trying to work on my clays little by little, once in a while. And as you may know, I haven't taken any workshop when it comes to creating miniatures and baking them using polymer clay so you have to bear with me for this. I try as much as possible to learn this craft on my own through photos, you-tube videos and books.

And here are just some of the things I have come up with the past few weeks.

The Owl-Penguin minions :
- I can't seem to decide whether they're owls or penguins as they are mere products of my imagination ☺

The Cupcakes :
- On this, I experimented by adding up some glitters. I'm not sure if it was okay though... What do you think?

The Name Plates :
- I'd like to learn how to do name plates using polymer clay because I am not just planning to give out handmade items but personalized gifts too this Christmas.

The Mistake :
- This was the 1st name plate I baked... and I failed. I don't know if it's because the oven's temperature is no longer calibrated since this is really an old one or I made it stay there too long.

As a result, I ended up getting an oven thermometer in an instant! ☺
