Since I re-learned crochet mostly by myself and was only searching for free patterns to follow at first, I wasn't really aware that there's different ways of writing a crochet pattern - - that it can be written in English Canadian to Australian and of course the diagrams.
That's why most of the time I end up feeling a little frustrated because no matter how correctly I think I was able to follow a pattern, it ends up otherwise.
So I further researched on learning how to effectively read crochet patterns and here's what I found out...
Conversion of the US to Aussie Crochet Stitches:
USA Canadian to DUTCH UK/Australian
- Chain - Chain
- Slip Stitch - Single Crochet
- Single Crochet - Double Crochet
- Half Single Crochet - Half double Crochet
- Double Crochet - Treble Crochet
- Half-Double Crochet - Half Treble Crochet
- Treble/Triple Crochet - Double Treble Crochet
- Double Treble/Triple Crochet - Triple Treble Crochet
- Triple Treble/Triple Crochet - Quadruble Treble Crochet
- Quadruple Treble/Triple Crochet - Quintuple Crochet
- Quintuple Treble/Triple Crochet - Sextuple Treble Crochet
- Skip - Miss
- Gauge - Tension

Happy Crocheting! ☺
