Clay Fest 2011

Clay fest venue + banners of 2 of its sponsors - Nendo & Clayzee
Craft Time Magazine & The Beadlady Sparklers were also sponsors of the event

As mentioned in my previous blog entry regarding the clay fest 2011, the event was held last February 25-26 at Marikina Shoe Expo, Cubao.

It was my first time to attend the said event and I must say that by hosting this event, The Beadlady not only made a lot of people happy but also helped clay artists/entrepreneurs in a lot of different ways namely...

  • Provided venue for clay artists/entrepreneurs to showcase their talents:
one of a kind lockets by Jen Cruz of Purpleluggage
pill boxes & wedding inspired items again by Jen Cruz of Purpleluggage

personalized compact mirrors by Angel of Angel Clay Shop
yummy cupcakes by Khim of Calix Clay World
cute chibis by Rachel of Rafels Clay Station

  • Meet, interact and create connections with people loving the same hobby/craft:
(l-r) with close friends - Melody of Crafting Time & Rocky of Rockybeads (my super talented mentor)
this time with Jen of Purpleluggage
of course we won't let the day pass without a shot with the hostess Angeli of The Beadlady and Joyce!
with my fave chibi maker, Thina of Claythinz
now together with the lovely girls behind the famous online shops

I also got the chance to meet in person the lovely ladies behind the online shops who distributes Nendo in their respective areas:

my good friend, Angel of Angel Clay Shop
Khim of Calix Clay World
Rachel of Rafel's Clay Station
Jessica of Johzco Clay

and

Angeli of The Beadlady Craft Cafe & Art Studio

  • And provided lots of new learnings in the craft through live demonstrations and workshops:
Nendo & Clayzee demos

Sparklers demo

And the clay sculpting l doll making l cake topper workshop with Jen, which I am very thankful to be a part of! I will blog about my workshop with Jen too, soon. Meanwhile, here are some of the photos taken during the workshop:
Our talented and really kind guru, Jen of Purpleluggage
and her students enjoying the workshop
our finished projects... really really pretty!

All in all it has been a very fun and knowledge filled activity. I had so much fun reuniting with good friends and also meeting new ones. The event imparted lots of new learnings as well as inspirations. Those 2-days office leaves were really spent well. Too bad I had to leave a little early those 2 days because little P was sick... I would've loved to stay and join them in this year's clay fest group picture.
But it's all good.

Thank you so much Angeli for the wonderful experience. More power and looking forward to more Clay Fests!

PS: Thanks Pinay Crafter & Thina for some of the photos Ü
